Cash on delivery for Shopify, confirmed on WhatsApp

Cash on delivery brings orders in markets where people don't pay online. It also brings orders that never get paid. Chekvo shows COD next to your card payments and confirms every COD order before it reaches Shopify, so you only ship to people who meant it.

How the WhatsApp confirmation works

After the shopper picks cash on delivery and places the order, the checkout shows a short code and a button that opens their own WhatsApp with the message ready to send to your number. They send it, the order is confirmed, and Chekvo creates it in Shopify. Because the shopper writes first, the conversation costs you nothing per message.

Fewer refused parcels

Wrong numbers, impulse clicks and shoppers who change their mind are what make COD expensive: each refused parcel costs shipping out and back. Confirming before you ship filters out the orders nobody will pay for, without staff calling every customer.

Built for COD markets

Choose the countries where COD is offered, such as Romania, Poland, Greece, Mexico, Colombia, the Gulf or North Africa, and keep cards for everyone else. Add a COD fee to cover handling, or keep it free to convert more.

Questions

Is WhatsApp confirmation free?

Yes. The shopper sends the first message from their own WhatsApp, so Chekvo doesn't pay per message and neither do you. It's unlimited on every plan.

Can I use SMS instead of WhatsApp?

Yes. You can switch the confirmation to an SMS code, which uses your plan's monthly message credit, or turn confirmation off for countries you trust.

Do COD orders show up in Shopify?

Yes, once confirmed. Each confirmed COD order is created in Shopify with its lines, shipping and discount, marked as cash on delivery.
